Maria Pleshkova (b.1986) is a multidisciplinary artist working in photography, video, and performance. She graduated from the Law Faculty, but her career in law wash't long because of her passion for art. Later, she studied Photography and Short film production.
Pleshkova's artworks have been shown internationally, including exhibitions and festivals in Russia, France, Spain, Italy, Gorgia and Czech Republic. Her work are part of Tbilisi Photography & Multimedia Museum collection and of private collections. In her work, Pleshkova explores the Microcosm, the human universe, and certain moments of the highest intensity of life. She focuses on the Unconscious, on dreams and visions. Pleshkova's work doesn't appeal to ratio - on the contrary, it appeals to people's feelings. She creates her own artistic universe and invites people to visit it. Pleshkova's projects are autobiographical, but the autubiography is just an excuse to talk about things which are universal and common to all humankind.
